As you probably know, Rusted Hues, the new Super XX Man album, is out now. It’s the 19th release since I started this whole thing back in 1995, and honestly, it feels like one of the most personal records I’ve made. I put this one together with a bunch of old friends and bandmates, and I’m really proud of what we created. Big thanks to Ali, Tony, Adam M., Adam S., Josh, Tom, and Shawn. And a special shout-out to Jason and Cordon — two fantastic guys who’ll be joining the live band.
We’re playing a few shows to celebrate — kind of a “world tour” by our standards, since we don’t get out too much these days:
Saturday, June 8 – Turn! Turn! Turn!, Portland, OR
Show starts at 4:30pm. We’ll be playing as a six-piece: me, Ali, Adam, Tony, Jason, and Cordon. Expect songs from the new album plus a good handful of classics from the past 30 years — a proper celebration of the ol’ double X man. Ali will open with what’s sure to be a sweet solo set.
July 5 – House Show, San Francisco
July 16 – “Wednesdays in the Park” presented by Pendleton Parks & Rec and St. Anthony Hospital, Pendleton, OR
6–8pm, all ages! Bring a blanket, hang out, enjoy a summer evening. Food and drinks available on site.
July 17 – Humble Burger, Moscow, ID
All ages. Time TBD.
Rusted Hues is available now on Bandcamp and all major streaming platforms. I’d love it if you gave it a listen, picked up a copy, or passed it along to a friend. There’ll be a small number of LPs at each show. About 20 copies are still up on Bandcamp — once they’re gone, that’s it.

Thanks so much for supporting this music over the years. I really hope to see you out there.
One more thing — I got a lovely note last week from Chris at If It Be Your Will. He invited me onto his podcast to talk about Rusted Hues and 30 years of making music as Super XX Man. I usually don’t listen back to these things, but I did this time — and I actually really enjoyed it. Chris is a thoughtful interviewer who clearly knows my work, and the whole conversation was a pleasure. Give it a listen if you're curious!
